Fractional Laser Q & A

Med Spa EncinoWhat is Venus Viva™?

Venus Viva™ is an innovative, personalized FDA-approved cosmetic treatment used to address facial remodeling and resurfacing, including reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The treatments provide exceptional results by combining NanoFractional Radiofrequency™ (RF) and unique SmartScan™ technology, which was used to develop a specially made device to deliver precise energy levels to each pin. Venus Viva is the first system which has allowed the physician to control ablation technique manually. The new pin tip design works by creating tiny “micro-wounds” which causes the skin to increase collagen production with minimal discomfort.

What can the Venus Viva™ system treat?

The system can:

  • Minimize visible pores
  • Improve scars from acne
  • Reduce the look of fine lines, deep creases, and wrinkles
  • Smooth out textural problems & improve rosacea
  • Even out skin tone and overall texture
  • Firm the loose skin near the neck, jowls, & cleavage

Are the treatments safe?

Radiofrequency has been employed in medicine for several years and is a researched, safe, and successful technology. The doctor will go over the medical history of each patient and his or her cosmetic goals to ensure that Venus Viva™ is the best treatment for that particular individual.

What are the results like?

With its unique design and patented technology, Venus Viva™ provides long-lasting results which are noticeable in just a single 15-minute treatment. More comprehensive programs can assist to prolong results or tackle more severe facial imperfections and can be scheduled to groups of 3 or 4 sessions. There is minimal downtime and discomfort, and a mild topical anesthetic will be used to ensure patients are comfortable. Most patients can return to work, personal activities, or responsibilities as soon as the procedure is complete. A treatment session on one section can take less than 30 minutes. Some redness and mild discomfort may persist after treatment for roughly 2 to 5 days, however, makeup can be applied the following day.
