Venus Legacy Q & A

What is Venus Legacy™?

Venus Legacy™ is a cosmetic procedure designed to reduce the look of sagging skin and wrinkles. The treatment utilizes radiofrequency energy and a magnetic field to deliver heat throughout the treatment area. When the deeper tissues are heated it causes improved blood circulation, allowing the body to circulate vitamins, minerals, and oxygen in addition to eliminating waste and toxins more easily. The result is the breakdown of fat molecules, improved collagen production for firmer skin, and an amplified healing process. This allows the skin to become firm, reducing wrinkles and cellulite. The treatment is very safe and offers foreseeable results because the heat is distributed evenly and the device is sensitive to the topography of the patient’s skin. The Venus Legacy™ handheld device also employs suction which can help to bring tissue closer so the heat can penetrate deeper.

What is the procedure like?

The Venus Legacy™ treatment plan will involve a series of sessions with several weeks between each visit. Six sessions are usually required for the face and at least eight sessions for the neck. Other body parts usually require at least 10 sessions. A session can last between 30 to 60 minutes. Patients can return to their daily activities as soon as the treatment has finished since it requires no downtime.

What are the final results?

Some redness in the target area is to be expected, and this usually fades after roughly an hour. To avert possible reabsorption of fat molecules, patients will likely be recommended to avoid sleeping during the first few hours following the procedure. Mild movement or even exercise can help to encourage the additional breakdown of these molecules. Results should be noticeable within the first three treatments, with final results appearing a few weeks after the final treatment. Results typically last around 18 months. A single session performed four times each year can assist to maintain the results.
